CHURCHDOWN PATCHWORK AND QUILTERS
TRIP TO THE FESTIVAL OF QUILTS 3RD AUGUST
It’s that time of year again when we are booking for the Festival of Quilts at the NEC
This year, we shall be going on Thursday 3rd August. We shall leave Churchdown Community Centre at 8.30am and leave the NEC at 4.00pm.
A few things to note on the back of last year’s trip –
We will open up the trip to all interested parties at once and will allocate spaces on a first come first served basis. We struggled to fill the coach last year as you know so will just add people to the list as they pay. Having a period of time for our members to think about it then opening up to other groups meant that we were then right up against it with getting tickets for the first session at the NEC. Since Covid we now have to apply for the time slot we want and I don’t want the coach arriving at 9.45ish only for you not to be allowed in until 11.00!
We shall require payment before names are added to the list. Sadly I just don’t have time to chase people up as I had to last year. Also, as last year, we have to pay for the coach and can no longer buy tickets on sale or return so I’m afraid the group won’t be able to offer any refunds on either the coach or tickets once you have signed up.
We were charged postage at £4 postage for each day of the extra day tickets last year so have decided that we shall only purchase tickets for the Thursday group trip this year.
You can post your details (names of those wanting to come) and a cheque made payable to Churchdown Patchwork and Quilters to secure your place(s) to me at : Mrs L Burridge, 35 Denmark Road, Kingsholm, Gloucester GL1 3JQ. (Royal Mail or through the door) I will confirm receipt.
Costs for coach and ticket are as follows –
Non-members – £24.50 (if you are a Quilters Guild member then I will need your membership number – you are entitled to a discount of £1.50 on your tickets so your cost for the coach and ticket will be reduced to £23.00)
