20th February - Suitcase Collection - 'Building Blocks'
25 quilts made by members of the Traditional Quilt Group
This meeting will be held at The Pavilion, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham, GL51 6PN. Entrance on the playing field side.
6th March - Demonstration by Kate Elgood
Kate will show us how to make a Triangular Scissor Case

Sue will bring a collection of quilts and various types of wadding

Saturday, 12 April - Workshop with Clare Kingslake - 'Grasses' Embroidery
Clare designs quilts in a naive country style. She will be teaching her popular grasses embroidery picture.

Joan will update us on progress and preparation.
15th May - Georgina Oldham - Demonstration - Shadow Applique
Georgina will demonstrate this technique and bring along a kit for everyone who wants to try their hand.
(15th to 18th May - Qults UK, Malvern)
5th June - Demonstration - 'Happy Villages' with Helen Lammiman
Helen will demonstrate a new way to make fabric pictures.
19th June - Sadie Yeomans - Mini-Workshop 'An Introduction to Redwork'
A short history of redwork and show followed by a practical demonstration. Sadie will be bringing along the calico and wadding for anyone wanting to have a go but you will need to bring along the following:
A skein of embroidery floss or coton a broder 16 (the traditional colour to work in is a deep red or a blue, but you can use other colours)
Hand sewing kit, with a few pins and an embroidery needle
Tacking thread
Pencil or water erasable marking pen
Masking tape
Sadie will also be bringing along her 'shop' with fabrics and patterns for members to browse.
3rd July - Summer Social

18th September - Jaz Ishtar - Talk - Aussie Dreams
Jaz's talk covers the history of textile design by aboriginal artists. She will describe the influences of the Dreamtime and will be bringing along some of her quilts and also some fabrics for sale.
2nd October - Maggie Lowthian - Making Fabric Bowls
After Maggie's success in the Summer Challenge last year, Maggie will tell us about
working with dissolvable fabrics and how to make fabric bowls just like the one that won her second prize.
16th October - Lesley Conning - Demonstration - 'Folded Boxes'
Those of you who were at Lesley's Talk 'My Quilting Obsession' last year will also recall the pretty folded boxes she brought along to show us. The boxes comprise 6 individual units, involving folding and hand sewing only - no glue!
Saturday 18th October - Workshop with Katherine Guerrier 'House Blocks With Attitude'
"Liberated piecing techniques are applied to house blocks to give your quilts that contemporary look. No two house blocks turn out the same."

When Fabric Freedom has a new range of materials coming onto the market, Sally's job is to design a quilt to showcase the new fabrics.
Saturday, 29th November - Workshop with Georgina Oldham - 'Patchwork For Christmas'
Georgina will show a range of items, decorations, gifts, cards, etc and you may choose which you would like to make.
This workshop will take place at Southam Village Hall, 30 Ratcliff Lawns, Southam, Cheltenham, GL52 3PA.
