21st January – Pat Train: Quilts, Competitions becoming a Quilt Judge BOM*
Pat is an embroiderer and quilter. She has had articles published in patchwork magazines and is a very active member of Highnam Quilters.
4th February – Anne Underhill: Mini Mosaics BOM*
Anne will lead us through a technique to make these mosaics using half square triangles.
18th February – Vee Jenkins: A Demonstration of Machine Applique
At The Pavilion
Vee is a local quilter with 25 years experience in patchwork and quilting.
3rd March - Barbara Weeks: Trapping Colour, Catching Light
Barbara comes from Hertfordshire to talk to us about her life as a quilter.

Valerie lives near Stroud and is an artist who works on fabric with stitch, layering items.

5th May – Judi Mendelssohn: On Being NOT a Championship Quilter
Judi comes from Pershore to talk to us about her experiences as a quilter and where it has led her.

16th June - Helen Taylor: Making a Needle-felted Brooch of a Sheep or Owl from Rare-Breed Sheep's Fleece
Helen is a Textile Artist based in Chalford. She uses natural and plant-dyed Rare-Breed Sheep's fleece in her partially sculpted needle-felted pictures inspired by the natural world.
A fee of £5 per person will be payable to cover the cost of the materials used in the evening (this includes one felting needle).

11th - 14th August – Festival of Quilts, NEC
1st September – Janet Stevens - Flowers - BOM*
Janet will show us how to make flowers and Evelyn will show us the new block (this item has been brought forward from 3rd November)
15th September – Wendy Cotterill: Lutrador – what to do with it
Wendy will introduce us to the world of lutradur and other spun bond fabrics like evolon and zeelon.

Get away from the house and sew from 10am till 4pm!

20th October – Jill Excell: My Quilting Journey
Jill is a Ledbury Quilter whose work is outstanding. She has won various awards and we shall be inspired by her work.
3rd November – Janet Stevens and Others: Making Flowers BOM*
They will demonstrate and show us how to make various flowers based on Shirley Bloomfield's book and flowers by Gillian Travis.
17th November – Paul Verney: A sewing machine collector and restorer from Stroud – on early sewing machines – the machines our great-grandmothers used and loved.
This will be a “hand-on” session. Paul will bring a variety of machines from his collection – including treadles – from the 1860s to the 1920s – for you to try out and hopefully to make something you can take home with you.
1st December – Christmas Social with a Show and Tell
We shall make doves and glitz them up!
Please bring a 'notion', value about £3 - £5, wrapped and ready for the Secret Santa event.
